The Open Golf Championship 2007 won by Padraig Harrington who also won the Irish Open 2007. Poppy House played host to Padraig and his family during the Open and he kindly left this comment in the visitors book - "Thanks, a very warm home for a cold week"
Padraig Harrington is one of the world's top golf players. He is currently first in the European Order of Merit, above Justin Rose and Ernie Els. He is also placed sixth in the World Rankings, which is led by Tiger Woods.
