Poppy House Bed and Breakfast offers wonderful bed and breakfast accommodation right in the heart of Carnoustie. Poppy House B&B is within easy walking distance of all the golf courses on offer in Carnoustie, the Championship Course, Buddon Links and the Burnside Course. Within a 40 minute drive from Carnoustie there are 32 courses including classic links, parkland and heathland courses. St. Andrews Golf Course is only just 20 minutes away by car.
Poppy House B&B has great charm and character and has been tastefully refurbished. The garden is a haven for relaxing in and guests also have the use of a lovely sunhouse in which you can enjoy reading or listening to music. The tranquil garden area gives Poppy House a quiet and peaceful atmosphere which belies the fact it is located so centrally in Carnoustie. Poppy House B&B Carnoustie also has free Internet access available to all guests.
Sunhouse
The 3 guest bedrooms, 2 doubles / 1 twin are located on the first floor. Two of them are south facing onto the garden and sunhouse. Two of the bedrooms have en suite shower rooms, while 1 double room has its own luxury private bathroom facilities complete with cast iron roll top bath, a great place to relax with some candles and a glass of wine!!
Carnoustie is known as the historic home of golf. It nestles in the romantic, ancient county of Angus - Scotland´s birthplace. Angus really does have it all, from the tops of the Angus Glens, fantastic countryside award-winning beaches and bustling little towns. The rich, clear coastal water and rivers in Angus make it a fisherman´s paradise offering challenging angling on lochs, rivers and the sea.
In the evening there are many superb local restaurants and pubs in which to relax all within easy walking distance of the Poppy House Bed and Breakfast. Fresh seafood, Angus beef and the world famous Arbroath Smokie - a wood smoked delicacy - are all served in the local eateries.
Carnoustie is definitely one of Scotland´s treasures and once you experience it you will surely want to return.
